1. Who we are

Tender Care is a home-based care provider serving the Swartland and West Coast regions of the Western Cape, South Africa. We provide skilled caregivers for dementia, recovery, palliative and disability support.

2. What information we collect

• Your name, email address, phone number and physical address when you book a visit or create a profile.
• Care notes and health-related information you or your caregiver share with us to provide care.
• Payment records for invoicing and accounting purposes.
• Messages exchanged through our booking portal.

3. How we use your information

• To schedule and deliver care visits matched to your needs.
• To invoice you and record payments.
• To communicate with you about your bookings and care.
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations under South African law.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Who we share it with

Your information is shared only with the caregivers assigned to your visits and the office staff who manage your bookings. Caregivers see only what they need to provide care. We do not share your information with marketers or external advertisers.

5. How long we keep it

We retain your information for as long as you are an active client, and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet legal, accounting and care-continuity requirements — typically five years after your last booking.

6. Your rights under POPIA

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Object to the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Access is restricted to authorised staff and caregivers, and all data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies — to keep you signed in and remember your language preference. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
